Find an Egg Donor With Personalized Guidance

Egg donation may be part of a family-building plan when donor eggs are recommended or chosen in consultation with a fertility specialist. It may involve an intended mother carrying the pregnancy, a gestational surrogate, or another treatment plan directed by the fertility clinic.

The Egg Donation Process

Five stages, one team the whole way.

  1. Review & Selection

Reach out to Open Arms to gain access to the egg donor database. You review the donor information available to you, ask questions, and decide whether you would like to move forward. We’re here to help you think through the details that matter to your family, without rushing your decision.

  2. Availability & Screening

Once you’re ready to move forward, we’ll confirm the donor’s availability and begin coordinating with your fertility clinic and the appropriate medical professionals. Depending on the clinic and program requirements, the donor may need to complete psychological, medical, and/or genetic screening before proceeding.

  3. Legal Clearance

Legal clearance will be required, and will be coordinated with the appropriate legal professionals. The specific requirements, timing, and order of these steps can vary depending on your fertility clinic and the donor program.

  4. Escrow Funding & Cycle Coordination

You will need to deposit funding for your cycle into a bonded and insured escrow account. Once the appropriate clearances are in place, we help coordinate communication between you, the donor, the fertility clinic, and the reproductive attorneys. We also help keep track of scheduling, travel, and cycle-related logistics when applicable.

  5. Cycle Support

As the cycle moves forward, Open Arms remains involved with communication, coordination, and journey support through egg retrieval and post-op visit.
